This is Hebgen Lake at the height of a callibaetis hatch/spinner fall during gulper season. It's a riot, but it's tough.


Trout going nuts for thick-bodied, size 17 gray midges directly below Ennis Dam, lower Madison River. I realize it's not terribly sporting when you've got them pinned against a cement wall, but it's fun once a year or so. October, 2007.
